I purchased a Birko on the bench steamer approximately 2 months ago and that is when the love affair started. As I am currently renting I was not able to purchase a built in steamer, so I decided that in the meantime I would buy the on the bench model until I purchased my next property and renovated the kitchen.

But now after having my Birko I have know need to buy any steamer in the near future. There is nothing that my steamer can do compared to any other brand of built in or even on the bench steamers. I can say that I was honestly taken back by how well my little steamer works and also cost compared to others on the market.

I use it nearly every day from defrosting to cooking muffins with my children. If you have not tried a muffin cooked in a steamer you are definitely missing out they are beautiful and fluffy and of course super moist. I also use the keep warm function a fair bit as my family is quite busy and sometimes we are not all together to eat.

So from vegetables, rice, pasta, yoghurt, defrosting, keep warm, muffins, slow cooking and also a really lovely slow cooked steak you can see that this product is well used and very much one of my well loved appliances in my kitchen. .
